Ocean Hermit – sailing, solitude and stories

My plans to retrace Captain Cook's unfinished voyage have been postponed a year while I work on the next Marine Diesel Basics book and get my new boat SV Oceandrifter ready for sea.

Keeping your WITs about you! The importance of Whatever It Takes.

Turning any dream into reality takes more than a good idea, enthusiasm and even hard work. In my experience, success also takes a particular mental attitude of “whatever it takes” to get the project started, established and mantained.

Hi Dennison – We lifted a toast in your honor at Kuhn Toc’s house last week.  Wishing you Godspeed on your journey. Bill Howard 011 – 86 – 139 1062 4164

Hey Dennison, do you remember a fitting out crew in Englee, Robin and Jackie, trying to make Alca ‘I respectable? Was just trawling boats for sale as we have sold ours and saw your ad. How are you? We have fond memories of tea pot cosies and trying to get the Englee damp out of our bones with cups of tea. R&J

Robin, Jackie, great to hear from you. Yes, very fond memories indeed. Are you now in your RV? I sold Kuan Yin to Wade and Coleen. Now focused on new series of illustrated ebooks on marine diesel basics – everything I wish I’d known when I started! Still knitting – just completed my first guernsey.
